Running for Refugees

I ran my first 5 K race today! It was a benefit for Integrated Immigrant and Refugee Services (IRIS). Some Elm City Vineyard folk took the prize for group costume – they came as a flock of sheep led by a shepherd. More pictures to come…

  1. wow, way to go, audrey!!! can’t wait to see the rest of the pics!

    • Amy! It’s great to hear from you… thanks for the encouragements! What timing – I’d just posted the pictures a few hours before your comment. Did you just happen to drop in or does the website tell you when I put new posts on my blog? I’m still learning how to do this website-making thing. =)

  2. believe it or not… i check your blog almost every day. =P i don’t do the rss feed thing. but it’s great getting updates on what you’ve been doing. =)

    • Wow, that inspires me to post more. =) I like doing it, but it always feels a bit like I’m speaking into the void… it feels more like thinking out loud, but I do it as an “exercise in thinking out loud,” as my friend, Jamie, puts it. Helps me process.

At any rate, it’s nice to know you’re there!
